ANTOINE DUBEAUCLARD TO SPEAK AT CORP! MAGAZINE AWARDS EVENT HOSTED BY RICK BLOOM
Troy, MI, June 10, 2008 – Antoine Dubeauclard, President of the Troy Web development firm Media Genesis, will participate in a panel discussion at Corp! Magazine’s Michigan Economic Bright Spots Awards breakfast Wednesday, June 11, 2008. The event is being held at the MSU Management Education Center in Troy and begins at 7:30 a.m. with breakfast and networking, followed by a panel discussion, awards program and concluding at 10 a.m. Rick Bloom, the host, is president of Bloom Asset Management and host of “The Rick Bloom Show” on AM radio 1400.
Media Genesis is proud to be one of 36 companies recognized as a true economic bright spot in the state. The winners list is comprised of profitable companies with at least 50 percent of their employees based in the state and demonstrated achievement in one or more of the following areas:
• Involved in a Michigan economic development or redevelopment project for industrial or commercial
• Experienced expansion of locations or sites in Michigan
• Involved in an emerging or growth business sector (bio-science, technology, health care, etc.)
• Has made a conscious decision to stay in Michigan, despite opportunities to locate outside of state
Dubeauclard explains that Media Genesis’ recognition as one of Michigan’s economic bright spots is due to many factors, including that the company understands the importance of a thriving local knowledge-based industry. “We can’t compete with our hands anymore – It’s a brain game.” Echoing the statements of many southeast Michigan professionals, academics and politicians, Dubeauclard further states, “the ground is fertile for education and learning – if we can retain talent and give them local opportunities, our state will fare better.”

The Greening of Detroit Springs into a Fresh Look
The Greening of Detroit partnered with Media Genesis, an Internet solution company located in metro Detroit, to create an online virtual experience for its visitors. Media Genesis is taking an active role in consulting and producing their new website, which exhibits enhanced graphical appearance and functionality. The Greening of Detroit is a prominent local nonprofit organization that relies heavily on volunteers, corporate partnerships, and individual donations. The Greening’s enhanced website design and functionality now makes it easier for them to orchestrate volunteer events and secure charitable donations.
“Our partnership with Media Genesis has allowed us to expand our technology within the organization. It is difficult to find corporations like Media Genesis to take the time and create an environmental web site that is both user friendly and have a cool and professional look.” stated Rebecca Salminen Witt, president of The Greening of Detroit.
Media Genesis provides expertise to The Greening with a variety of services including online marketing, content writing, design, secure e-donations, and a custom back-end content management system that allows The Greening to make website updates at their convenience via a friendly user interface. Rebecca Salminen Witt underlines the importance for “The Greening of Detroit to have a web site that functions so that our partners and volunteers can view activities and events that are helping Detroit become cleaner and greener.”
Media Genesis will continue to support The Greening of Detroit by adding additional content management system features and functionality, as well as providing technical network support to improve their IT infrastructure. “Media Genesis has helped The Greening of Detroit with the technical support and resources needed to expand and evolve into one of Detroit’s leading environmental organization.” stated Rebecca.
A large body of work in the nonprofit sector provided Media Genesis with a special sensitivity for the evangelical and emotional nature that typically drives participation and support in this sector. “The Greening has built a strong and prestigious community of sponsors, contributors and volunteers. We knew that it was critical to highlight those projects and people - and to use the evidence of their support to establish instant creditability byway of a graphic environment that is engaging, compelling and easy to navigate.” says Antoine Dubeauclard, President of Media Genesis.
